Everything was just soo stunning. The dresses, the people, the performances. Took my breath away. I realised that my jaw was dropped open when I was watching the "Sound-effect choir". Sure they were making funny face expressions but WOW!! Applause to them. And Beyonce&Jennifer Hudson's performance.. it was.. it was really really really lawaaa. Pokoknya the Oscar didn't fail to entertain me. But but but I'm kinda upset that Leonardo DiCaprio didn't get any oscar. He deserved an Oscar. Hmph.

Or Happy National Day (lurus?) or Merry National Day (lurus?). It's been 23 years of freedom!! Alhamdulillah. Syukur.

The slogan for this year is (you ready for this?) Iltizam Memperkasa Keupayaan Bangsa. Ok, apa tah ertinya? Sentiasa meriah bah. Tapi banyak urang inda paham. That's the sad thing. Cuba tah something like "Negara Maju, Penduduk Kaya" kah or "Bahasa Melayu Bahasa Kita" kah.. Huhu ;p Something yang dapat di fahami bah. Inchek Haji Ahmad said that the slogan simply means Belilah Barang Buatan Brunei.. Hahaha. Quadro-B!!

So, being the person yang berjiwa patriotik, (eseh!!) I researched for the meaning of each word. The only word that I'm familiar with is Bangsa. Ertinya Race kan. So, my race is Melayu. Apakan ;p Anyway.. let's get down to this.

Iltizam = berpegang teguh kepada agama (holding on to one's religion)

Memperkasa = perkasa is memperkuat or kukuh or STRONG (this is what my mum just told me)

Keupayaan = effort (from my brain's dictionary)

Bangsa = as I said.. Race

So this is what I think.. if we hold on to our faith or religion as in holding on tightly, we will be a good bangsa. But it takes effort to hold on to our faith. Lurus?? Hehe. At least, now I get a bit of an idea of this year's National Day's slogan.

On a complete other note: Who wants to get stressed out? Liat saja bidiu klip I belong to me by Jessica Simpson. I can gurantee you that you'll get stressed out while watching it. It was my first time and I could feel that my eyebrows were frowning. Hmph. Kalau ada wrinkle nanti, I'll blame it on Jessica.

Bangang-service day!!

Sighh.. My week had been going really really good. Or should I say, it's been a beautifool week. Before that, I went to 'lawat my saudara' just now. (Lawat saudara = Ke kadai kain). Sekali the Indian (masa ani inda lagi sabut 'Kaling' k), bangang brabis! Hishh!! Bri sasak brabisss! I wanted this, he thought it was that. This and that doesn't mix, ok!! Durang atu enemy tu. And then I went to Ahan Thai, the waiter was bangang to the maxi taxi! Apakan?! Hari Service Bangang SeBrunei kah? So, I've decide, not to go out jln after this. Well, umm.. I would but yang Self-Service saja kan di aga. At least I be sasak at myself. Inda jua banyak dusa marahi urang. Whoopsss.. Yeah, I did raise my voice to them. Manatau durang (the Indian and the waiter) inda tedangar bah.

Anyhow, I have to say that it's because of the Livewire workshop that I did enjoy my week so far. I went to the Bright Ideas workshop for 2 days. Siukk! And we (Nad, Atoi & Ash) had fun! We learnt alot, laughed alot (bilaa juaa indaa ;p), used our brains alot.. At least it's being refreshed now. Inda lagi rusty. In a week, rusty tia lagi ni mun inda bepakai. I absolutely recommend it to everyone to join the Livewire Bright Ideas workshop. It maybe useful in the future, if you wanna open a business. I learnt bits and pieces about accounting pun! It wasn't that bad. Didn't know that my brain can accept accounting. It was fun. Banyak calculation! Maybe I'm saying this 'cos I only learnt the basics of accounting. Hehe. Oh well.. pokoknya it was fun. Thanks to Steven Song. Such a humble man. Sighh. At the end of the day:

(1) Nad wanted to open a coaching consultant office. Lurus kan, Nad? Self-employed pun! Bagus kawan ku ani budgeting. Huhu.. Nad, I forgot the name of your company.

(2) Atoi wanted to own an Outdoor Ativities company that includes Kayaking, Bungee-jumping and Surfing. Lurus kah, Toi? Pun, budget budget jua. Sampai inda mau hire anyone. You think, you could carry that kayak kah? I think you haven't established yourself that you ARE petite. Hehe ;p PEACE, Toi!

(3) Me. I wanted to open a bakery shop. I'm not good in budgeting. You don't wanna know my start-up cost. Haha! Bila jua inda meriah, bila jua inda go crazy! And I wanna name it 'Rotigirl' ;p

(4) Lastly, Ashraff wanted to open a 'Shiteater breeder company'. Yang paling success antara semua semua. We imagined that in 10 years, we no longer use flushes in toilets. Instead, we're gonna use bedukang (fish yang makan poopoo). Why? Pasalnya we need to save water. So, everyone will go to his company for the 'shiteaters'. Umm yeah, I do not need to say more. And and and Ashraff said that he would paint the bedukang white. Ia mau 'the most' jua! Hehe.

Anyhow, I had blast with you guys. Apa-apa ani FEEL GOOD! And remember, IDEAS k and and and B.S!! Hahaha. G'Rol, if only I knew you wanted to join.. Siuk tu, yoo. The more the merrier ;)

How to get around in Brunei if you don't have any transport?

(1) Ask your friends to pick you up. The common one ;)

(2) Take a taxi, which I don't think is an option. Mahal kaliahhh! Baik ngambil cab di Brisbane tu. Oh, I remember, I once spoiled myself when I was in Brisbane. I really didn't wanna get onto any public transport, and I wanted to go to Sel's place (I think that's 6 zones away), so I took the cab instead. Sekali sekala bah. Bukan selalu. Plus, I didn't wanna get any blisters 'cos I was wearing my new shoes. Huhu ;p But I ended up having those stupid blisters anyway. Bleurgh.

(3) Ask your parents to drive you. This only applies for those age 16 and under. Huhu ;p I have to admit, I still ask my Dad to drive me. Especially kalau ke RIPAS or any clinics. Payah cari parking bah. Plus, I'm only 16 anyway. Hahaha.

(4) Rent a car. In Brunei? Serious kah? Can kah?

(5) Jalan kaki. Iatah nada ni. Jalan kaki kah jalan batis?

(6) Pkai bus. Ok, first of all, transport ani paling payah sistemnya di Brunei ani. Buses tend to stop anywhere they (bus driver or passengers) want. Apa tah gunanya tu bus stop nya ah? Plus I don't wanna risk my life. Drivers nya crazy. So, Genre: Crazy bugger! Ok ok, enough with the Genre, k. Lagipun kan, I don't even know the bus number to take from my house to Gadong (kenapa misti Gadong kan? hehe). Kalau di Google kan for bus info di Brunei ani, mana ada keluar apa-apa. As in nothing that convince me. Yang keluar Visit Brunei 2008 saja. Huhuhu. Nad suggested, "Marha, kenapa inda check it out arah www.translink.com.bn" Hahaha. Translink di bawa-bawa plisss. Marah karang Queensland government. Huhuhu.

Grammy's and Movies!

Hi Hi Hi!! No, that wasn't a laugh. It was more like saying 'Hi' 3 times! Huhu ;p How's your weekend? Mine.. Umm, it was more on makan, movie, makan, movie. Hehe. What a relax life, huh? Inda lagi batah mental ni lagiiiiii~ How's my job hunting? *flutter eyelashes* Relaxxx bahh~ What's the rush? ;p

Let's not waste anytime, shall we? Let's talk business. Haha. Have a heart! ;p Anyway, I was watching Apocalypto and WOWW, applause to Mel Gibson. That man never fails to un-dissapoint me. So, Mel if you're reading this, will you marry me? Hehe. Bilaaaa juaaa masanya membaca blog. I was saying, Apocalypto is the SH!T. Love the plot and the message. It's about family family ish kinda movie. So Genre: Family. Apakan. It was about the history of the Maya Civilization. Eh, pokoknya liat saja keh, walaupun gory. At least I can stand this compared to Texas Chainsaw. Atuuu, matiwahhh! And oh, I can't help but noticed Jaguar Paw. Makin lama di liat, makin manis. Macam one of those footballers. Sighh. I think I've fallen in love again. Except that it's deeper this time. Huhu ;p

Other than that, me and the rest of the females in the family (excluding the Amah ;p) went to watch Qabil Khushry Qabil Igam (corny and lame ahh). But trust me, the storyline wasn't as lame as the title. At first I thought KUMIDI (comedy), hmph sudah sampai half way through, keluarkan tissue ah, rucih make-up karang. Jeeah told me urang siringnya meruhung. Hehe. Very Hindustan-ish. So, Genre: Bollywood wannabe. Very very brotherly-love pun. So seeing Hans Isaac cried, makes me cry. Kesiannn~~ Too too deep!!! And oh, rupanya Yusry KRU was supposed to be in it abeden kan belakun arah Cicakman ya. Baik jua ia inda dlm Qabil muvi ani bah. Mun inda, spoilllll tiaaa. Baik jua ada anakanda si Jauyah (Rusdi) yang belakun. At least pro jua usulnya ;)


Oh, didn't the Grammy's upset you? Matiwahhh! Dixie chicks won alot of Grammy's. What about the other nominees?? Very very dissapointing. Country musics are like muzak to me. Sorry for those Country music lovers. Minta maap ah. I just can't see what's the fuss is all about. Carrie Underwood atu pun manang! Bulihhhh ya manang? Ehhh, udah tah idol ya manang. Macam membuat kopi telabih susu (bukan susu manis ah, susu kutak!) = cawir = cawie!! Once again, sorry. Good night!

Oh, I apologise for the lack of posts. The past few days I've been occupied doing nothing. Sometimes at the end of each day, I wonder the things that I did and questioned myself. Have I done anything productive? And I came up with 'yes' as an answer. Why? Umm, I watched 2 DVDs today, I ate good food, read blogs, watch TV, read books, la la la.. Productive jua tu kan. It's not that I've been doing nothing. I've gained knowledge from watching TV. MTV kah? Hell Nooo!! I only watch it if there isn't anything interesting to watch on TV. Masa ani meliat Aruna kali ahh ;p Did I scare you? Hahaha! Sibukkuueee kan meliattt Aruna.

Next I would like to congratulate my two ex-housemates. Alhamdulillah, baik jua belurih tampat tinggal. At least I don't have to worry di mana kamu kan betaduh daripada hujan dan panas. Goodbye, Rumah Sunnybank! Goodbye forever. Thanks for being our 2006 host. It was great and fun fun fun. Sighh. Banyak memories pun.

Anyhow, I'm done with Brisbane (udah atu!). I finally realised that, I don't belong there anymore *sniffs* Study-wise that is. I don't wanna hassle myself with all the preparations of going there i.e. bali Indomie bekutak-kutak, segala perancah (perancah nasi goreng, sayur, ayam masak merah, daging rendang etc), stationaries (sebabnya stationaries di sana mahal and style lama! Officeworks nya pun inda siuk. Alum ngalahkan Bismi and si Hua Ho tu). What else ah.. oh, toileteries misti bali di sini pun. Inda pulang semua tu, but now I'm kinda in need of some toileteries from Priceline. Cemana ni? And and and preparation for VISA, fees, accommodation and all. Hmphh.. I don't wanna get through that again. Not anytime soon.

Well I do wanna go back to Brisbane on a holiday. Siukkkk tu ehhhh~ Nanti saja. When I grow abit older ;) And I do wanna go to Brisbane for studying.. PROVIDED: I don't have to do all the preparations myself. Ertinya I have to hire someone (eseh, mcm bnyk usin saja) who will help me in buying those stuffs and of course packing them. I HATE PACKING!! And, kalau sampai di Brisbane airport, all I have to do is just sit while that-person-that-I'm hiring go through customs for my stuffs to be declared. And then I don't have to fight over maxi cabs with other students. Hehe. Trust me, this happened! There must be a transport waiting for me. Not me waiting for it! Sampai rumah, I want my bed to be made 15 mins before I get there. Huhu. While I'm in the shower, getting ready to bed, I want the main stuffs to be unpacked! I HATE UNPACKING ALSO!! By the next morning, I want ALL my stuffs unpacked. Thank you very much! Kalau kan breakfast, ke McDonald saja. After 3 days, I will be set to go through everything alone. In the other words, I don't need that person-that-I'm-hiring. Agatah balik Brunei. Bali ticket sendiri. Huhuhu ;p Oh, why do I need 3 days? Ok, the first day, I need that-person-that-I'm-hiring to get me my groceries. Both from Coles and from the Halal Butcher. Second and third day for company saja, untuk ke city jalan-jalan. Hehe. By now, you may think that I'm spoilt kan? Hehe, think whatever you wanna think. I just don't wanna get through that hassle again bah. Iatah I'm just imagining. Like it's gonna happen anyway. I WISH!! The night that you arrived in Brisbane could be the worst night ever. Nah ahh: (1) go through customs (2) cranky lagi pasal inda cukup rest dalam plane (3) wait for cab (4) angkat bag sana kemari (5) sampai rumah with the bed undone 'cos you just don't wanna leave your bedsheets behabuk bila balik kan?? (6) unpack... Hmph.. Sudah tah ehh. I'm still bitter that last year when I arrived at Sel's place (I was homeless by then) my hand luggage fell on my big toe and I lost the nail!! Sakitttt!! It was at 4am in the morning. Sighh. Sabar saja. Baik jua it grew back.

Ok, enough of that. I'm gonna get myself some tiramisu. Laparrr kueee~ With that I leave you with a picture of my two beloved ex-housemates! In this picture, durang kan cuci jamban, hence the gloves! Where's funky town?

Hi people! How's your February so far? Apakan.. Baru 3 aribulan!! ;p Yesterday I discovered my talent in folding. Folding apa ni? Folding keratas? Origami kah? Hehe. Folding cream bah. As in baking-kinda-folding. Udah tua tua ani baru tah pandai folding. But it's never to late to learn something simple at a 'wise' age kan? Huhu ;p Jeeah was supposed to bake Tiramisu all by herself but since cooking isn't her speciality, trust me stress brabisss meliat ya handle the cooking utensils, so I came to her rescue. So now, I know bits and pieces of how to make TIRAMISU!! Inda lagi payah ke Solitude ni. Ke Hua Ho saja; membali ingredients nya! ;p And and and I feel like I've gained something; Folding and Tiramisu :)

Apart from that, 2 days ago, we had to chased one of the wabbits. The maid lupa mengunci pintunya! Hmph. Careless bah. I noticed the door was wide open and went:

"RAUUUUUDAAAAHHHHH (the maid's name)!!!! Pintu arnab bebuka ahh!!!"

and ran outside panicking. Once I reached the 'home' of the wabbits, I quickly counted how many were left. Baik jua seikung ganya lapas. I was relieved. When K-nah found out, she was damn-mad at the maid. Tapi Alhamdulillah, we managed to put the rabbit back to its home after 10 minutes of chasing. Hmpf. Ehh, baru seikung tu. Masa ani inda lagi "Chasing Cars" (Snow Patrol), Chasing Rabbits saja. Huhu. We didn't dare say a word about this to Mum since she wasn't in a good state i.e. damam. Plus arnab yang lapas atu was Caramel, Mum's sentimental value. Talking about Mum's being damam, Ridha asked her:

"Napa Nini damam? Nini main ujan?"

Hehe. Smart~ Smart~ Well, Brunei's currently facing the opposite of drought so that's the relevancy of the Ridha's question.
