Topic Hangat Dec 2006: PANASSS!!

I know I've been complaining about the weather lately. Tapi yang banarnya bah. Not just me but everyone is complaining. I think today it was 38 degrees!! In the kitchen tadi at Nandos, it was 41 degrees and it kept on rising. Last last give up meliat thermometernya atu. It's ok Marha, 3 more weeks!! Yeeheeee!!! Balik in 3 weeks!! Abeden, I have to say goodbye to this place. Oh well, I don't wanna talk about that.

Me being silly or lembap or bimbo. Umm.. Jeeah *malu* inda Kaka tau tiramisu ani befreeze. Ari atu Kaka buat cheesecake yang be-baked so yeah. I thought same!! Malu ehh. Buduh rasa Kaka. I feel so silly. Hehe. And yeah I watched BORAT oredi. I like!! I wanna watch again!! Pacah ulihnyaa!! Hehe.. And oh, I can see why di Brunei kana banned. There's this one scene that's just so so so so so wrongg.. Hahaha. Liat saja Jee, walaupun macam cucul. Meriah jua! ;p

Talking about tiramisu, I haven't got the time to 'freeze' one. Huhu. Inda paham. I can't believe I've been spending my time at work or in the gym or with my friends. I haven't been cooking or baking or freezing stuff. Oh well, I should spending my last few weeks in Brisbane wisely right? Jadinya memasak isn't wise? Hehe ;p

This is gonna be a short post 'cos there's absolutely nothing in mind. Zero-minded! Apakan. Like Coke Zero bah. Ehh.. Anyway, I would like to say my goodbyes to all of you in case I die of boredom. Atas alasan: the TV in my room isn't working and I really wanna start on my House boxset. So I'm really bored. Why not use my laptop? Sebabnya my D drive (lurus kah tu? the one untuk CDs and DVDs) inda baik. It's been almost a year now and I totally ignored it. I've decided to get it fixed. So tomorrow, have to call Marcus the great. Hehe. Oh well, good byee!

AUSSIE IDOL FINALE AWAL ANI!!

Aussie idol is on TV now. The question is; who's gonna be the next Australian idol. Jess or Damien?? I just found out that Damien is a father and Jess.. is young. Apakan?!! But I think I'm going for Jessica. Kan memvote udah abeden abis masa tia. Huhuhu.. I didn't follow this show religiously, that's why I've only decided to go for Jess. But seriously, I've liked her eversince the top 12 were introduced. So cana ni? Hehe ;p

I had work earlier and damnn it was hottt and I almost died when I got back. Mengalihhh ehh. The temperature in the kitchen was actually 40 degrees! Everyone was practically sweating. As for me.. bila juaaa indaaaa. Huhu.. I sweat like a pig. Eh, kenapa kan kana panggil 'sweat like a pig'? Pigs sweat a lot kah? What about cows? Sama jua tabal bulu durang tu..? Do cows sweat as much as pigs? Hmmm.. that really got me thinking. And oh tadi there's this woman with a kid apporoached me when I was about to clear a table (ok, masih lagi cerita pasal keraja ni k) she told me that her boy accidentally wee-weed!! And she told me to clean it up. She did apologised but ishhh, bulih lagi tekamih di kadai MAKAN!!! Hmphhh. Everyone was pissed. Good thing I didn't have to clean it up. Huhu. One of the boys did!! Huhuhu. I like!! Brigali kali ahhh!! Kalau kana naikkan gaki $50 per hour selajur mana saja. Wohhoooo.. Kaya tu ehhh!! Aminn. Apakann.. All in all it was really tiring and I ended up taking a nap (which I don't really do) from 5pm-7.20pm. Trok ehh!! I never like taking naps. Membari bad mood bah and cranky. And I always wake up with a bad headache, sometimes.. migraine!! Oh well.. I thought it was already late, I was glad it was only 7.20pm. Mun ahir lagi, menangis tu ehh!!

I wanna eat chocolate!! Sia sia punn.. Oh oh oh.. I would like to congrats my sister, Jeeah for baking tiramisu!! Jarang kaliahh ya ke dapur. So Jee, if you're reading this, nanti buatkan Kaka ahh. Thanks. And ohh!! In 2 weeks time same time, I'll be going to the airport to pick you guys up!! Yayyy!! I haven't seen you for a while!! Damnn.. I can't wait. And Jee, my packing isn't doing really good. I'm so paning. Hmphh.

Okayy, I wanna watch Aussie idol.. And oh, did I tell you that I watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning last night? Yeah, I went to watch that stupid movie!! Palui!! Eversince, I've been getting visions from that movie. I say, jangan tah kamu meliat kaehh! Brijap and gory and mean and jahat and kesian and it's sooo disturbing AND it's based on true storyy.. Ya Tuhann!! I guess jangan tah liat keh! Promise?

I'm officially jujur!! On the other words, I got through my honours. Alhamdulillah. No more sleepless nights, no more beuri, no more sebagainya lah. Next is packing my stuffs then graduation and then heading back to Bruland, as some people may call it. I can't wait to go back but at the same time, I'm gonna miss this place. I'm gonna miss the crowds. I'm gonna miss the weather and of course I'm gonna miss my shopping spree here. Hmphh. Udah di Brunei lain lagi environmentnya ni. I love being independent. It's fun fun fun. But kan, my mission here is complete. It's time to pack up my stuff and head back to where I belong. Hmphh. If only I could work here first. Siukkkk juaaaa tuuu.. I wanna stay at Bulimba!! Apakan. Huhuhu ;p

Anyway, I would like to thank all of you for your prayers all this time and for those of you who are still waiting for your results, good luck!! I'm sure you'll do fine. Amin Amin. Chirstmas Fever!!

Okay, sorry for the lack of post. I've been so busy with Nandos and I haven't been thinking straight lately. I haven't even been reading my daily sites pun. Hmph. Lots of things to catch up with but I've got one crossed out already and that's catching up with Brisbane's city. Lama udah inda 'running errands' di city. Huhu.. Anyhow..

What's in my random thoughts now:

1. I'm coming home soon (Yayy!!), meaning I'm gonna leave Brisvegas soon *MSN's dissapoint smile* I don't wanna leave but I have to 'cos I miss Brunei abeden kan, I'll always be in Brunei anyway so why not stay in Brisbane a bit longer? I can't pasalnya my visa ujung December expired. I don't wanna be 'makhluk asing'.. Oh well.. I guess I have to leave Brisbane.. for good.. for sure. Hmphh.. I have to start packing. My Mum keeps on reminding me about this. Asal on the fone, nyuruh packing tia. Membari menangis kaliahh. It's like packing my life (macam tah my life masa di Brunei atu, inda bekira ;p). Well, it has been a good (almost) 4 years for me. My years here in Brisbane had make stronger, wiser, crazier and lembaper. Thanks to all my Brisbane family, the old ones as well as the new ones. Eh, udah! I wanna cry.

2. I realised that there are some (material) stuffs that you adore, you can afford and you want BUT you can have it. Annoying kan?? I realised this after got 'acquainted' with Moshi Moshi Misfits. Is hurt brabisssss!! Hmphh.

3. I love Borat movie! Very funny. I thought I wouldn't like it pasal the jokes banyak capi-capi but I like it. I like him 'cos he's lembap. I can use some of it as tips to improve mine. Huhu ;p

4. I need to pack!! I don' know where to start.

5. Nights ago, I dreamt about snakes. Banyak brabis. Mammat told me that they're all iblis. Subahanallah. And I told my Mum about it last night, she said "Iblis tu. Bawa membaca-baca". I've been having difficulty in sleeping. I've been thinking about my results and a lot of stuffs sampai migraine. Oh well, that's life. Shit happens like Shitsoil *cough: sorry Shadi*

6. And oh, it's Christmas time y'all!!! *Jimbogeljimbogeljimbogelbogel* That's just my Christmas' song in courtesy of Fetty and Inchek Padil. Anyway, there's a big big big Christmas tree at Brisbane's Square. So far, the biggest I've seen ever. This is my first time staying for summer so I guess I'll be experiencing lots of Christmas thingamajik. Even Starbucks is all decorated with Christmas magics.

I would like to present you..

Okay okay, I kinda promise you that I'm gonna post up something job-related yesterday but hmphh, malas wahhh.. I was just plain tired and lazy last night. I even fell asleep while watching Just Friends' DVD. Ngalih banar tah udah tu.

I had a good time at work but very tiring. 5 hours of standing, no resting at all. When I told this to my mum, it's just so typical of urang tua-tua to say "Iatah rasanya mencari duit tu. Rasakan tia". They make it sound as if siksa banar keraja ani. I mean I had fun. Siuk kaliahh.. Anyway..

And now.. a Nandocas!!! Yup, I'm now working at Nandos! Di mana? Definitely bukan di city. Huhu ;p Inda kamu kejumpahan aku di sana tu. Hehe.. Anypants, macam a dream come true rasanya. Apakan?! I'm talking about the shirts and the aprons and all..


No, I don't get free chicken all the time. Free chips saja, atu pun kalau ada labih.

And yes, I'm quite happy with the shirts and the apron thinking that nanti I would keep it as a momento. BUT, the uniforms are still their property. I have to give them back when I quit. Hmph. Punah harapan kan menyimpan bajunya ni. I really hope that I get to keep it. Anyway, I like working at Nandos. My first day I was the co-ordinator i.e. serving food, packing takeaways, etc etc. Basically being the cashier's assistant. The second day, I spent most of my time in the kitchen, being a 'prep'. The 'job shifter' told me that it's the hardest of all. Hmph. Jadinya napa ya bagi arah newbies? Kan kan kan? It wasn't that hard after a while. But at first I was really really really slow. Ani minus the lembapness udah ni. I wasn't being lembap. Banar! Promise! Reading the 'menu board' was really confusing. But after a while I got used to it. Alhamdulillah. My job was to get the burgers, pitas, wraps, thighs, ribs and wings ready. So my kraja was heating up the buns, pitas and wraps and also the chickens, memalit mayonnaise, simpan salad, etc etc etc and and and.. tukang simpan the small Nando's flag!! Hehe.. I think that was the fun part of all. "Kan bemain bah banarnya, bukan nya banar", I could hear my mum said that. Hehe..

How are you today? Apakan. Let me just get this straight k. Hehe. I had a very long day today. I went to work and had gym after that so my energy level is too too low to write a proper post. Eh, tunggu dulu, bila jua pernah proper. It's never proper kalia. The random me

I just watched a debate on TV on channel 9. It was about "Muslims in Australia". Hangat jua topic nya tu. It got my Sunday going. Apakann?

Anyway, there's this Muslim man who was pointing his view on women wearing Hijjab and he emphasised that Hijjab is "to symbolise the fact that the woman is out from her proper place " and he added, "The idea of wearing a Hijjab is to preserve her beauty from her husband". The moment he said this, a Muslim lady immediately respond, "The reason why I'm wearing Hijjab is that I am fullfilling my duty to Allah". Owwuucchhhh!! Padas dangg. She didn't look very happy though. Offended kali ya.

I was triggered when there was this other Muslim man said that women are more equal in Islam. I couldn't really hear his points because the moment he said that most of the women went beserk. Ada yang marah-marah, trying to emphasised that, that wasn't a true fact. Kacau ehh. Iatah bini-bini ani inda pandai menunggu explaination dari laki-laki bah. Well, most women do that. Iatah relationship membagi ancur tu. Eh, melarat ehh. Ok ok.. bukannya pasal relationship ni, Marha. Back to the actual thing. Hehe..

Though, an Australian man, I can't remember apa position nya. Hmph. Sorry ahh, my memory ani inda brapa kuat bah. Peace. Misti tah di suruh angkat barat supaya kuat ni. Huhu. Lameee!! Huhu.. He was saying that Muslims are puritanical (puritan n. person who is strict in morals and regards certain pleasures as sinful. puritanical adj.). He said that that is why most Australians do not look up to the Muslims. He left it on that and will be again aired next week. I hope to catch it again. Interesting bah. Next time, I'll make a report k. Hehe. Kalau rajin, that is.

I feel like talking about OC4. Ok, I did manage watching the first episode on TV and I'm still not satisfied that Marissa is dead. Confirm kali ya mati pasal:

1. Her name wasn't in the credits.. umm.. credits kan namanya yang awal-awal atu? Do you call that credits? Or is it just a list of all the main casts? Or maybe you can call it distinctions? Hehe. Banar jua tu. Credits yang ahir so distinctions yang awal-awal atu. Sama lah tu. Potaytoes, potartoes. Huhu.
2. I remember Julie Cooper and Seth Cowen were talking about her 'funeral'.
3. There was her tombstone

But macam ada twist jua. Mana tau:

1. They were trying to hide Marissa from Ryan. So they just tell Ryan that she's dead. They refers to 'Julie Cooper' pasalnya ia jahat!
2. The idea of having the tombstone.. saja.. Julie Cooper wanna make the point more kukuh.. more strong bah. Awu, sanggup ia membina nisan. I mean c'mon, she can afford all the designer bags, bajus and car but can't afford a tombstone?? Make sense kan..

Ehhh.. hangat dangg di luar ahh. The heat's striking. I don't know how I'm gonna survive throughout the summer. Tawakal saja.

I went to the gym this morning and mannn.. inda lagi fit ehh! My muscles were all shaking. I reckon it's time to go back to the gym real bad. Misti misti misti.

Anyway, I watched Troy last night on TV and WOWWWWW.. Brad Pit's tooshie ahh.. jadi?? ;p And my favourite line in that movie is "If killing is your only talent, then that's your curse!". Bukan pasal linenya, pasal the way the girl cakap lawa brabis. Huhu. Inda relevant kan, I know! ;p It got me wondering bah. Ok, the place namanya Troy kan and the people there, Trojan, so kalau Brunei.. the people.. Brunejan? Huhu ;p Awu bah, lame tahh. Hehe. I'm bored bah. I need entertainment. AFTER THE 'INTERVIEW':

Hmm.. how did the interview go? Well, it wasn't really an interview. It was more like handing-in-the-application-form-and-the-resume kinda interview. Hehe. The manager just told me to come in on Wednesday for training. Alhamdulillah. I can't wait for the shirt. Still wanna know where I'm gonna work? Just wait till Wednesday, yea. Kepada siapa-siapa yang tau udah atu, diam saja. Jangan tah kambang and gatal kan men-tag-tag k.. Spuilll tia krg. So just keep it to yourself until it's official. Thank you for your cooperation.

I'm so sleepy ehh. I think I'm just tired from gym and I reckon I should watch OC soon. Ok people, good night ;)

Seee, I told yaaa!!

Woww.. ringan rasanya ehh. I had my seminar this morning and Alhamdulillah everything went well. Though I had some technical problems i.e. suara makin sarut as I went on and I was struggling explaining 2 slides but I guess the examiners understood me. Why I know that they understand? Pasalnya they ask me questions based on that questions. Nope, bukan minta explain kan lagi pulang. Hehe.. About the 'future work' lah sebagainya so I assume they got me. My supervisor was quite happy with my presentation. He said "well-done". He even said that he's satisfied with the way I tackled the examiners' questions. Alhamdulillah. I have to say God was with me. Alhamdulillah, syukur. The room was quite big and the screen was.. mannn.. basaaa hantap nyamo! All in all, I feel a bit relief that it's all over. Though my soul wont be at peace till the results. I really hope that I showed the examiners that I deserve decent marks for this honours thingy. Amin Amin. I hope they're just linient enough. Amin. I would like to thank everyone who sent me their luck (Thanks Ren, Toi & BJ). Awu, BJ awal ku bangun! Hehe. Paksa jua kan ke uni awal.

I went to the city tadi and picked up something. I feel relief as well after all the long wait. Yayy!! Finally it's here. And and and.. I bought a new bag! Hehe. Esuk I wanna get the 'Mum' i.e. the bigger version pasalnya kesian this bag kan, it needs its Mum bah. Damit masih. Huhu ;p I managed to get my House boxset pun. Nope, bukan season 3 or 4, Toi. Hehe. And nope bukan season 2! Hehe. Season 1 bahh!! I know.. Andang ketinggalan zaman. The most important thing is I bought it at a very low price. Way way way lower than duluuu..

Less than 24hr to my seminar. The biggest presentation in my entire 20+ life ever. So how this? Yes, I'm very nervous. Start udah kabak-kabak dari di malam. Tapi bawa berilek saja, bawa tidur. The internet at home's been acting up since Monday night. Pasal ujan! Hmph. Kalah Astro sensitive nya. Life without internet.. SUCKS BIGGING TIME IN THE WHOLE WHOLE UNIVERSE! Inda jua baik luan dependant on the internet but kan.. siapa tah nyuruh meng-create internet kalau inda kan di pakai. Kemudahan bah tu namanya.

With internet:

1. Procrastinate more. Such as baca blog urang, youtube-ing, main game dan sebagainya.

2. Mengalu-alukan shopping and that includes meliat barang through the net, not just simply browsing through eBay k. Huhu.

3. Main culprit of un-sengaja-rable sins. E.g. ter-umpat urang on MSN. Banar jua tu inda sengaja. Mun hours and hours on MSN chatting with a person, inda jua sengaja mengumpat tu. Kan kan kan..

4. Somehow, helps in producing a good assignment. Nope, I'm not talking about plagiarism ni ah. Ani as in, it really helps in doing research bah. Especially Google. Di kesempatan ini, I would like to say thank you to Mr Google for making my life easier. I mean way way way easier ;)

5. Untuk mengeratkan lagi silaturahim sesama manusia. Especially yang becousin2 atu. Kan kan?

3. And and and.. I noticed this last night, since the internet at home was f*cked up, keraja pun hasil ulihnya. Inda banyak procrastinating. I was surprised that I managed to get some work done. As in really really done.

So how dis? I reckon better balance it up saja k.. I don't wanna be too dependant on the internet.. Whoopsss.. Telajak udah. Sorry haa! Buang kesss!!! Huhu..

Oh, wish me luck for tomorrow yea.. And jangan lupa doakan pun. I practised my presentation tadi and I went over the time limit. Labih 2 min. So I reckon I should practise more and kurangkan the usage amount of "umm.." or "now we're gonna look at.." or "ok.." etc etc.

Home, where I wanted to go~

Earlier I typed in a long post, well, not that long pulang but long enough lah, sekalinya kan inda mau di publish. Error again. Seriously this whole posting thing is testing my patience. *breathe in* *breathe out* sabar saja..

It's noon already and looks like I'm not going to uni. I'm just gonna stay in and do my work. I've been up since 8+ and only got out from bed at 9.30am. I was too busy realising that it's already Monday. I really thought that it was only Sunday. And then I realised that the weekend was over. Hmph. Does that mean that I had a good-short weekend? Kenapa 'yang terindah' ani selalu sementara kan? Huhu ;p tau kamu lagu atu? Lagu siapa nahh?? Hehe.. Erra Fazira kaliahh!!! But I can't remember how it goes. Ada pulang karaokenya tu. Anyway, but it's true right, time flies so damn fast when you're having fun. Time nya buring or kana marah or time frustrated.. batahh ya tu. I guess that's just how nature works. Nature?? Hehe. Sukati ku bah ;p Siapa tah kan di salah kan? Time? Me? Mayebe you? ;p

Yesterday I had a fun fun fun Sunday. Went to another open house at Ka Rohani's. We all can feel the Brunei's Raya's atmosphere. The food was excellent. Semuaaanyaaa nyaman. I even had to ask permission for a 2nd round from her. Hehe. Misti sopan bah. The daging was soo nyamannn and the chicken and the fish and the pachrih and the.. ehh.. pokoknya semualah. And ada kek roll pun! Kek 'roll' ketupat, strawberry and pukuk. Semua kek roll ani di beri nama sempena shapenya yg macam ketupat, strawberry and pukuk repsectively. Apakan?! ;p Ren and I just couldn't help but sit near the kuih and biscuits area. Udah kanyang kan, pandai tesandar, mengantuk dan sebagainya. Macam ular! But it was good fun. Ka Rohani was really friendly and very warm. Macam di Brunei brabis rasa kami. Ganya kan.. one thing missing.. BJ's gonna say something to this though. I'm just gonna say it anyway. Huhu. The only thing missing was our bajus (this strictly applies to all us girls). Kami inda pakai baju kurung pasalnya quota kami abis! So pakai baju sopan saja. Huhu ;p Payah bah BJ jadi bini-bini ani. Kalau balik-balik inda tia siuk.. Unspecial tia rasa kami. I hope u understand, k. Peace! ;p

Later in the evening, the boys, ketuanya si Merol, main PS2's Eye Toy. Lurus kah tu? Correct me, if I'm wrong k. Contestants terdiri daripada Merol, Din, Mirul and Wafi (10 year old boy, Ka Rohani's son). Merol managed to be the champion of the game. Durang main yang atheletics atu. So paksa durang belari setampat and melumpat setampat dan sebagainya lah. Haha. Crazyyy crazyy.. Cheap thrill but fun fun fun.. Aahh.. what a Sunday to remember.

I reckon our Raya ended yesterday 'cos I think there won't be any more open house invitations since everyone's getting their nose ready for the exams. As for me, my seminar is this Thursday. Wish me luck and let's pray that we all will get through this semester. Amin Amin. Sighhh, how I wish I could go home after Thursday.

Bulih lagi rindu exams?". Awu awu.. banarrr!! I miss studying, having the big-fat-textbook infront of me and doing pass papers are just one of my wishes. Hmphh.. I miss my bachelor yearss.. Seriously this honours has totally got me thinking of doing any research program. Payah bah. Anyway.. I had been thinking about the difference between exams, assignments and presentations (seminars).. Which one do you prefer?

1. Exams. The classic way. I think exams was established in the year of Elephant. Huhuhu. Tahun Gajah bah. The first war yang meneguhkan agama Islam. Ingat kamu kah tu? Hehe. So yeah, I think exams are the most sufficient way to get through a course mun inda, inda kana practise sampai ani kan kan kan? You agree with me. Also, the purpose of an exam is to test ones knowledge. Esehh!! Macam si banarr.. Huhu ;p

2. Assignments. I reckon this one.. Established in the 1700 or 1800. Please note that this is just my prediction, just a guessing. So I don't know ahh. It's just a rough idea. A figure that came in this little-sleepy mind. Huhu ;p But but but.. dulu kann.. people do their assignments pkai typewriter yang kalau salah paksa becarik paper atu sama membagi sakit tangan jua. Let me rephrase, yang membagi sakit jari. Anyway, as the years became sophisticated.. came the electronic typewriter that typewriter that can do magic! It can erase the previous letters. Eh, bukan erase, the right word for it could be vanish!! Eh, lain jua bunyinya ahh. Hehe. Umm.. maybe dissolve.. or make invisible. Oh noo.. melaratt.. Hehe. You get what I'm saying kan? Anyway, now people start using Word by Microsoft. Esuk esuk ada 'Word by Minihard' ;p Antah karang inda tau cemana kan operate that program since I still find Word complicated 'cos I'm an IT illiterate. Inda pulang payah banar. But I always have difficulty in formatting. Thus, doing assignments requires skills. Some people may not have this e.g. Me! Peace!

3. Presentation. Totally a different type of assessment. Totally a different kind of feeling and requires a lot of skills. From speech preparations, ability to tackle any form of questions, ability to interact with audience, creativity in preparing powerpoint slides (not to forget animations. Hmph), summarising (the idea of an 80-page-thesis being put down to 20mins talk presentation is just plain sucidally mati-akal-ation).. The list just goes on with this one. Some people love preparing powerpoint slides, for me.. it's not my favourite. The actual presentation has 3 phases, I guess.. Pre-during-post-presentation. Nervous, anxious and all sorts of funny feelings lah. Ada yang butterflies-feeling all over. Baik jua butterflies bah. Mun bettle (kumbang) or spider (laba-laba) kapisan jua tu. And some of us has stage fright. Ani yang paling kesian lahh.

As a conclusion, I prefer EXAMS!!! I think it's the most simple of all 3. It doesn't require any skills.. maybe the skill of memorising saja. But each and every one of us has got our own way of memorising. Some people would substitute their posters with cardboards or 'manilakad' (lama udah inda mendgr ni. manilakad, manilakad, manilakad), some people would simply memorise by making 'songs' out of it (you get what I mean kan?). I have to admit that I've done this before with my oral exams pulang tu. Masa dulu skulah ugama mengapal doa Qunut. Hehe. Paksa di buat lagu supaya apal. Menjadi jua bah. Sampai ani apal jua. So mujarab lah. Eh, hang on, I thought I was talking about exams. Hehe. Sorry, melarat. Anyway, I really prefer exams. I might say this pasal 'rebound' cos too much writing selama ani. But seriously kan, dulu when I had both exams and assignments for my assessments, I preferred exams still back then. The simplest but the hardest but won't require any computer skills. I'm happy to settle down with that. Hehe.
